At the BPM Group (Bornhauser Performance Motors), our passion for beautiful machines is our driving force. The multiple dimensions of this universe challenge and fascinate us. Whether we’re talking about cars, motorcycles, boats or planes, we decided to create the Club Pecqueur Motorists to nurture and transcend this multi-faceted passion that unites us through unique services.
Patrick Bornhauser, Chairman of Groupe BPM, one of Europe’s leading motor vehicle distribution groups, wanted to pay tribute to this passion by creating the Club Pecqueur Motorists, whose ambition is clear: to bring together enthusiasts of the mechanical arts.
High Watchmaking through the multidisciplinary genius of master watchmaker Onésiphore Pecqueur gives the Club Pecqueur Motorists the legitimacy to pay tribute to him and to illustrate the universe of mechanical arts in its diversity. Through a revisited mechanism of the Differential, the Pecqueur Motorists watch illustrates the dynamic given to the term ‘Heritage’ when it refers to an ancestral know-how in constant search of evolution.
A love of fine mechanics is what drives the BPM Group (Bornhauser Performance Moteurs). Patrick Bornhauser, founding president of the motor distribution group, has always been fascinated by the multidisciplinary nature of the mechanical world. He had the idea of creating the Club Pecqueur Motorists to build bridges between the different worlds of car, motorbike, boat and aviation enthusiasts
A child of the French Revolution and heir to the spirit of the Enlightenment, the watchmaking engineer Onésiphore Pecqueur (1792-1852) was an inventor of genius. In addition to his duties as head of the workshop at the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers in Paris, he developed a gear mechanism, the “Différentiel”, whose many industrial applications continue to this day.
